Foodfirst's History

Foodfirst was established in 1987 and was then known as New Zealand Associated Refrigerated Food Distributors Limited. We started with 9 distributors growing to the current day of 19 with over 60 sales representatives and in excess of 160 temperature controlled vehicles.

When you deal with a distributor in the foodfirst group you are dealing with a locally owned and operated business. Flexibility is a key component of foodfirst while providing a New Zealand wide coverage which appeals to both customers and manufacturers alike. Suppliers targeting specific market sectors find appeal in Foodfirst’s willingness to both wholesale products or contract deliver consignments door to door.
